If you are brand new to fitness or returning from a break (injury, baby, life, etc.) I recommend starting with the:
Gentle Pilates Mat classes
Pilates Chair classes
The primary difference being:
Gentle Pilates Mat: Moves at a slower pace, includes modifications, limited supine neck flexion (think about sit ups or crunches)- making it great for people with neck issues, recovering from DR, or arthritis osteoporosis
Pilates Chair: All of the classes are performed sitting and standing with the use of a chair- making it great for people who don’t like to be on the floor (hands and knees, side-lying, stomach-lying, back-lying).

If you are brand new to fitness or returning from a break (injury, surgery, life, etc.) you should start with the Fitness Foundations Program.
If you have little to no injuries, are looking to take your fitness to the next level and needing motivation and inspiration- you should start with the 20-Day Invigorate Program.

We have an entire class program called Pilates Chair that was created 11+ years ago just for this reason! You don't have to be "old" or "fragile" to take this class.
Maybe you:
...just had a knee or hip replacement
... are in your third trimester, and need to modify your exercises for the remainder of your pregnancy
...are carrying a little extra weight and find getting on the floor to be uncomfortable
...have arthritis (osteo, scoliosos, stenosis, DDD, spondy. etc.) and prefer smaller, safer movements
Pilates Chair is offered Mon-Fri live at 10:00am PDT AND we have over 1,000 On Demand classes for our unlimited members.
